Cincinnati, Ohio – The Lady Cougars picked up their first victory of the 2025 season with a hard-fought win over the Northwest Lady Knights on Thursday night at Withrow’s Angus King Stadium.

The scoring attack was led by senior Callie Oppt and sophomore Maya Ramsay, who each netted two goals to pace the Cougars.

The match started as a back-and-forth battle, with both teams generating early chances but unable to capitalize. Just before halftime, Oppt broke through to give Clark a 1-0 lead at the break.

After halftime adjustments, the Lady Cougars came out strong as Ramsay added a goal to extend the lead. Clark continued to apply pressure, eventually finding the back of the net two more times before the final whistle to secure the win.

The Lady Cougars return to action on September 4th when they face league rival Norwood High School at Shea Stadium. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m.
